Inventory Control Specialist
Pay: $22/hour (paid biweekly)
Location: Hiring within 30 minutes/20 miles of Traverse City, Michigan
Travel: Typical travel is upwards of a 3-hour radius from Traverse City. 4 weeks of overnights per year to travel to further locations in support of our national team are expected. (Lodging and food will be covered by the team.)
- Perform inventory counts inside gas stations and convenience stores
- Work across the sales floor, stockroom, coolers, and freezers
- Travel to 1-3 different store locations per day (different locations daily)
- Work as part of a small team and carpool to job sites
- Start time: typically 7 AM (departures may be as early as 3-4 AM depending on distance to first store location)
- Monday–Friday (weekends off)
- End times vary based on workload (typically 1 PM - 6 PM)
- Daily travel required; total work time (travel + in-store) is typically 36-42 hours per week

- Accurately count inventory using a 10-key device
- Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Submit inventory reports to store managers
- Maintain efficiency and accuracy across multiple locations
- Valid driver’s license, active car insurance, and reliable transportation required for travel between job sites and participation in team carpooling (you will be required to drive)
- Ability to pass background check and MVR screening
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for extended periods, bend, and squat
- Physical work includes frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, ladder use, and working in coolers and freezers
No prior experience needed – training is provided
- Warehouse, stocking, or inventory work
- Merchandising or retail backroom experience
- Order picking, logistics, operations, or route-based roles
- Food service or customer-facing roles
- Delivery driving or field-based work
- Construction, general labor, or hands-on roles
